Another awesome weekend!

Hi bloggy friends! How was your weekend? Mine was awesome. Great times with the family and brace yourself people, I ran 6 miles (3 per day-Sat & Sun) ! (Insert happy dance here....its really funny, trust me!) Saturday I took the the fellas on our first jog in our new double jogging stroller. Here is a picture of the fellas after their first run with me:

Aren't they cute?! Big thanks to the Run Like A Mother ladies for the stroller recommendation. My new BOB rocks! The boys had a ball. It was different being ordered around on my run. I typically fly solo for my runs so to have our oldest giving me orders from his seat was hilarious in between me gasping as I am still trying to get back into shape.

The run started off with him saying, "Mommy you need to keep running straight." Well running straight was going to dump me into the nearest body of water. Then I got, "Mommy why are you going that way? I don't want to go that way." My most favorite discussion was, "Mommy why are you slowing down?" To which I replied, "We are going down a steep hill and I don't want to rattle you around too much." What I was really thinking was pushing about 50 pounds is a little bit harder than it looks. LOL!

Do you have a jogging stroller? What funny conversations have you had with your children while running?

  1. They are too cute! You are so awesome! 6miles! Love the stroller. I am still debating that hill on my street. Our weekend was surprisingly freezing, rainy, and yuck in NC for March.

  2. Props to you for pushing the stroller! That is really hard! I was passed by a guy pushing a stroller in my first 10k. It was pretty demoralizing. Well that and getting passed by the pregnant lady. :)

  3. Good for you! Wish I had the energy to run 6 miles. Think I'd probably pass out if I tried to run 1 mile at this point. : )

  5. Way to go with those two cuties out in front of you! My boy wouldn't sit in a jogging stroller now if I paid him with "brown" M&Ms, chocolate milk, and a promise of McD's after. I've been working out at home with Bethenny Frankel's DVD, and even using that I have a four year-old who will bend over to stare in my face and ask silly questions while mom is doing yoga poses. Laughter is great, just not for balance:) Can't wait for better weather here so I can get outside and start moving some!!

  6. Thanks for the positive feedback ladies. Exercising with children can be challenging but it is worth it. I so want to get racing again.
