Our new family favorite holiday movie

My husband and I have always enjoyed the movie A Christmas Story. We have watched the movie every year since we have been married. We love the fact the film what shot in downtown Cleveland. We also get a kick out of Ralphie's adventures to get his perfect Christmas present.

We thought this might be the year to introduce it to the kids. I was finally able to track it down at Giant Eagle this past weekend. Our oldest has been hooked ever since. He has been telling everyone, "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine." My personal favorite what when he busted out, "Ralphie says a naughty word in the movie but I am not going to say it," at Sunday School. So much for the parent of the year trophy....

Our family wants to take a trip to visit the restored Christmas Story House located in downtown Cleveland. The house has been fully restored and is open for tours year round. There is also a museum directly across the street from the house which features original memorabilia from the movie. And if that's not enough they have a gift shop there which features items like the leg lamp, bunny pajamas and other cool Christmas Story memorabilia. Sound like fun? Check out their hours and admission rates.
