So as you can see, this guy knows food!

In an interview with Joe Crea from Cleveland.com. Whalen admitted he has struggled with weight issues since being a child. Last summer when he heard Food Network producers were looking for chefs to participate in a show focusing on weight loss he was eager to participate. Check out the full interview here.

The Food Network show "Fat Chef" debuted 1/26. Whalen's episode is schedule to air this Thursday, February  2nd at 10 p.m. Set your DVR's now people!  Its not often that Cleveland is represented positively in the media. Kudos to Whalen for talking publically about his struggles with weight. Also he deserves to be applauded for his amazing weight loss transformation on the show. For more on the show check out the Food Network website.

I heard him talking about his experience on "Fat Chef" last week on Q104. I was super impressed with Whalen and his positive outlook. He seemed to learn a great deal from his experience on "Fat Chef." He now exercises more regularly and has a greater understanding of the correlation between what he eats and how it effects his body. He is looking at modifying his menu more in the future to offer additional more healthful options for patrons.
